a Geheimtip the Swahili House

if you are out looking for something special go and give yourself a treat and sleep in the Suaheli House

http://www.theswahilihouse.com/

a traditional old palace recently renovated (Dec 2008) with a manager that attends to everything you need, with a rooftop bar and restaurant that offers more than good food and drinks and the service is just as good as the view......

more Zanzibar sunset pics

the best place for sunset

is the Africa House Hotel.....a terrace for sundowners and of course totally full...
except you have a reservation for the front row....

and get THIS for just one or two or more cocktails...

so the conclusion is...

that the only state of mind and emotions here is....

HAPPY.....just as the ships are called here...very suitable....

my Zanzibar beach office

when are you coming to join me here?

not a bad place to work I assure you.......
and you get everything you want within minutes......they even bring you your shopping - be it T shirts or everything else you want to your office table.....
let alone food and drinks and the like....
not only nature is paradise here....

our discovery tour through Stone Town

this city has definitely seen better days but you can still feel the flair and the richness it once had.....

once arrived and equipped with cash we first had a bite in the famous Livingstone Beach Restaurant......Red bull and coconut cake....what a treat....
but of course in such a place .... only tourists....
but the view out to the sea was very nice even when we had to sit inside because of Ramadan.....

and then we walked around the city.......
which is easily done in 2 hours..............

and we thoroughly enjoyed it....some a little more at some places.......

one of our "favorite" things to do

once arrived in Stone Town the capital and birthplace of Freddy Mercury, we went again to the ATM, an activity which seems to be one of our favorite things to do if we look at the frequency of our visits there....
